Hello, my name is Cassi Rodriguez, and creativity has always been the thread that weaves together every part of my life. Since joining the Van Scoy Jewelers team in 2021, I have had the opportunity to merge my lifelong passion for art with the timeless beauty of fine jewelry. What began as a childhood fascination with color, rocks, and the natural world has grown into a fulfilling career.
Originally from Greencastle, Pennsylvania, I earned my degree in Fine Arts from Kutztown University. My artistic journey has been shaped by years of exploration, experimentation, and dedication to my craft. Over time, my work has been displayed regionally throughout Pennsylvania, and I have been honored to receive several awards, including Best in Show, the Walter Emerson Baum Memorial Award, and Second Place in the Painting Category at the Pennridge Gallery of Arts. These recognitions affirmed not only my commitment to art, but also my belief that creativity is meant to be shared.
I continue to nurture that creativity in my home art studio, where I explore new ideas, techniques, and forms of expression. Art, for me, is both a practice and a way of seeing the world. That perspective translates seamlessly into my work in the jewelry industry, where I have spent the past ten years. My favorite part of my job is helping a customer create a custom piece of jewelry—combining gemstones, metals, and thoughtful design to tell a story unique to each customer. Helping someone bring their vision to life through a custom piece is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
In addition to the artistic side of jewelry, I have also been involved in advertising and creative direction for the business. This role allows me to think broadly about visual storytelling, branding, and how art can communicate emotion and identity. Whether I am designing a piece of jewelry, creating artwork in my studio, or shaping the visual voice of Van Scoy Jewelers, my goal is always the same: to create something honest, beautiful, and enduring.
My connection to jewelry is deeply rooted in my early love for rocks and the natural world. As a child, I was endlessly curious about textures, colors, and the stories hidden within stones. That curiosity planted the seed that eventually led me to Van Scoy, where nature’s raw beauty is transformed into wearable art.
Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mother of two beautiful children. Being a mom is one of my greatest joys and inspirations. When I am away from Van Scoy, my time is devoted to my children—being actively involved in their school lives, cheering them on in extracurricular activities, and guiding them as they grow. We spend as much time outdoors as possible, exploring nature together, learning, and creating memories that I hope will shape their own appreciation for the world around them.
In many ways, my life mirrors my art: layered, colorful, and constantly evolving. Whether I am holding a paintbrush, selecting a gemstone, or walking hand in hand with my children through the woods, I am guided by the same belief—that creativity connects us to ourselves, to one another, and to something lasting. At Van Scoy Jewelers and beyond, I strive to create not just beautiful objects, but meaningful experiences that, like art itself, stand the test of time.
