Caroline Van Scoy Jewelers
About Owner, Caroline
Caroline's expertise in the jewelry industry spans over 30 years. She is a graduate of Penn State University and the Gemological Institute of America. In 2015 Caroline became the sole owner purchasing Van Scoy Jewelers. She immediately began creating her vision for the future. First she invested in a new comprehensive software program that integrated marketing, sales trends, inventory, customer contacts and outreach. Next she began looking at relocating the store to a new location providing customers with a private parking lot and available handicap access. "I wanted a stand alone building where Van Scoy Jewelers would be a distinguished jewelry store in a well recognized location." Van Scoy Jewelers provides professional diamond knowledge, fine jewelry, custom creations and onsite repairs. The new store is mix of modern/classic with an open floor plan creating an inviting environment. Caroline is a strong advocate for Berks county's local community and small businesses. Van Scoy Jewelers regularly donates jewelry items for local charities such as: Opportunity House, Veterans Making A Difference, Animal Rescue League of Berks County and many other non-profit local organizations.
When Caroline's not working you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her friends and family. She loves hiking, biking, running and skiing. Fitness and health have always been her second passion to growing her business. She is a member of the Reading local "Pagoda Pacers" group and has been race director for the popular Grings Mill 5k/10K run usually held in August. In addition Caroline has served on many local charity committees such as The Reading Symphony Orchestra, Reading Museum, St. Joseph's Hospital & Friends of the Reading Hospital.
